As I’m writing this, I look out the window and see the autumn leaves falling. Autumn officially arrived, and I’m ready to get my cozy sweaters out and embrace the slightly colder seasons of the year. Before we get all carried away, I suggest you grab a warm cup of tea or coffee (or hot chocolate in my case), as I want to give you some styling tips for your tropical wedding.
In the wedding world, there’s one trend that stood out this year, and that’s the tropical theme. It comes in all different forms, from a tropical themed wedding to a destination wedding on a tropical island at the beach. Earlier this year we were part of a fresh and fashionable editorial shoot organized by Nadine Metgenberg from Fine Weddings who brought together an excellent team of professionals. Also, this very stylish editorial featured on the cover of the Canadian “Perfect Wedding Magazine.” These cool editorial shots inspired me to give you some personal tips on how to style jewelry for your tropical inspired wedding outfit.
Decorate Your Décolletage
Strapless jumpsuit? I think you should go for it! In that case, my advice would be to make sure you play around with necklaces. Combine several necklaces with different lengths and play with structure and color. Always go for an uneven number to make your look more attractive. My suggestion would be to start with a long necklace, from at least 80cm, and then layer two shorter necklaces on top of that. In this case, we combined our Devine necklace with the Ray of sunshine and the Rock my day necklace. For the photo, we even added a fourth necklace in the styling which was our all-time favorite Galadriel necklace
Go big or go home
Some dresses don’t ask for many accessories. But in my opinion, there’s always a place for a pair of statement earrings to finish your outfit. We paired our Infatuation earrings with this stunning dress because sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to jewelry.
Let’s face it if you’re the type of woman that chose to have a tropical themed wedding; you’re not afraid of color. And why should you?! When picking your wedding jewelry, why not look for some colorful pieces. A subtle touch of color can do wonders, just like these Amethyst Fairy did to this outfit.
Adorn your arms
A tropical beach wedding calls for a boho wedding dress just like this one. Many boho dresses are very playful and have lots of different fabrics and textures. So why not translate that into your jewelry. An amusing way to play with your boho styling is to stack multiple bracelets together. You can start with three or five pieces, and this amount has no limit depending on your taste. For the styling we did, we use our golden gemstone bracelets, and because they are very dainty, we ended up combining around ten bracelets.
I’m sure your wedding color theme is not all white. So why not pick one of the colors from your wedding theme to translate that into your jewelry. For this outfit, we chose a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings that features a white Freshwater pearl, combined with tiny sunflower yellow crystals. A color combination that matches the colors of the rest of the outfit, and the decoration.
If you’re ready to go all tropical on your styling, then head over to our jewelry to find the pieces that speak to you. And if Fredrik or myself are online, we’d love to assist you in our live support.
